The Pitch Stabilization System is a stand alone pitch axis control system providing vertical speed control for climbs and descents, altitude hold mode, glide slope capture and track, and pitch trim indicator lights.
This system is often used to provide autopilot pitch axis functions in conjunction with an independent roll axis autopilot from another manufacturer.
System consists of:
- ST-360 Altitude Selector / Alerter and Autotrim Control Panel
- Remote Mounted Pitch Computer
- Pitch Servo
- Pressure Transducer
Modes of Operation:
- VS (Vertical Speed). Holds existing vertical speed when engaged.
- ALT (Altitude Hold). Holds existing altitude when engaged.
- GS. Indicates glideslope coupling armed and/or active.
- UP/DN buttons. Used to command vertical speed changes
- In vertical speed mode 160 FPM change for each second button is depressed
- In altitude hold mode 20 foot altitude change for each second button is depressed.
Please note that autotrim is not available on some aircraft models;
